Mr. Sudhin Roychowdhury (Chairman)
Mr, Roy Chowdhury retired from LIC of India as an Executive Director ( Marketing& Product Development). Among the many Senior positions he had held in LIC of India was MD & CEO of LIC International Head Quartered in Bahrain and the entire Middle East. He was Zonal Manager-in-Charge of the Biggest Zone in LIC, namely Western Zone. Earlier he was Executive Director (Personnel/HR,/OIC & OD ) in LIC Central Office. From 2012 to 2014 he was Member(Life) in IRDAI. During this period he was also affiliated with IAIS ie; The International Association of Insurance Supervisors in Bassel, Switzerland. He was also Executive Director of A2II (Access to Insurance Initiative), a German Govt. project doing work mainly in Africa. Mr. Roy Chowdhury has travelled globally and was a spokes person on several world platforms on matters related to insurance. He had received the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhabana Award in 2010 and the Global Visionary award in Gujarat. Mr. Roy Chowdhury had been on the Board of several Companies , namely Calcutta Electric Supply Co., JP Associates and Haldia Petro Chemicals Company. He brings with him 40 years of Insurance experience with him. He has majored in Physics and an MBA from IISWBM, Kolkata. He is also an Alumni from The Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Phillipines, in Personnel Management and Conflict Resolution as well as FALIA in Japan. Apart from these he has done Marketing Courses from IIM Calcutta and ISB, Hyderabad. He represents ICC as Member, National Expert Committee on BFSI .
Dr. Somnath Ghosh (Director)
Mr. Ghosh is a practising Chartered Accountant since 2008. He is the proprietor of Somnath Ghosh & Associates, Chartered Accountants. He is a guest faculty member of the Department of Commerce, University of Calcutta , since 1989.Previously, he was Reader in Commerce of Sri Chaitanya Mahavidyalaya (Formerly Sri Chaitanya College of Commerce).
Mr. Asoke Kumar Chakraborty (CEO & Principal Officer)
Mr. Chakraborty was Direct Recruit Officer of The New India Assurance Company Limited of 1986 Batch with 18 years of experience therein .He
served Kesoram Insurance Broking Services Limited, a B.K. Birla Group company as the Principal Officer for 4 years .He was short stint in Mother Dairy, Calcutta before joining “New India” .He also represented “New India” for collaboration with Bhutan Postal Corporation, Bhutan. He rendered consultancy services in the matter of Float Fund Management of Health TPAs, conducted Forensic Audit of Motor Third Party claim cases, Bank Audit, Survey & Loss assessment of insurance claims and favoured opinion in high value insurance claim cases in professional practice .He was also Co-authored a book published by Insurance Institute of India. He has abundant experience in Crop Insurance .He is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Lawyer by qualification, Master in Commerce, Associate of Insurance Institute of India (AIII), holder of a PG Diploma in Criminology & Forensic Science – possesses exposure to varied fields of insurance and has to his credit experience of administration, accounts, underwriting and claims in insurance and insurance broking sectors .
Mr. Kamal Dasgupta (Director)
Mr. Kamal Dasgupta – Mr. Dasgupta , Being an electronics engineer Mr. Kamal Dasgupta started his career as a design engineer in ‘Avionics Design Group’ (Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd,lndia) since 1978 and developed radio altimeters and he then moved to Development Consultant Pvt. Ltd, lndia in 1982 as a senior design engineer.From 1986.he was in CGCRI,Kolkata and was one of the key persons who conceptualized a dedicated R&D center. He was the member of different professional bodies like Optical Society of America , Society of Photonic Instrumentation Engineers, Optical Society of India, Luminescence Society of India and Indian Ceramic Society.
